Derika Pruitt is Licensed Master Social Worker and a proud native of Mobile, Alabama. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation services with a concentration in Drug Addiction from Alabama State University, earned in 2017, and a Master’s in Social Work from Louisiana State University, completed in 2022. With a deep commitment to helping others, Derika has extensive experience in social services. She served as a foster care caseworker for five years, supporting families in their journey toward reunification and addressing challenges such as substance abuse, mental health barriers, and various forms of abuse. Additionally, she worked as social service director for two years at a skilled nursing facility, where she provided assistance to the geriatric population in overcoming social barriers, including substance abuse, financial exploitation. mental health struggles and homelessness. Derika is passionate about creating a safe and supportive space while offering guidance and encouragement to help them address barriers and achieve their goals.
